Serious instruction, no ego

SchwartzDefense is a firearms training company based in Alpine, CA. We teach out of ranges across San Diego County and travel to students throughout the county — and we're happy to work with anyone willing to come to us.

Our classes are deliberately small. Six to ten students means you get corrected in real time instead of being handed a target and left alone. New shooters get a patient, judgment-free start. Experienced shooters get held to a standard and put on a timer.

The course path is intentional: beginner fundamentals, then intermediate defensive shooting, then CCW-specific training including California permit qualification, renewal, advanced everyday-carry work, and force-on-force scenario days with role players and marking cartridges.

Safety is the one thing we are inflexible about. Every class opens with the same brief, the same rules, and the same expectations. Students who can't hold that line don't shoot.
